Yesterday one of my students was absent. She returned this morning along with a note that read:
"Please excuse ________ from school yesterday. She was at home suffering from loose stools. We have cleaned her up and she should be OK for school today. Call me if she gets sick again."
A simple "________ was sick yesterday. If she starts to feel ill again please let me know." would have been sufficient. I really don't need all of the details about the great toilet bowl massacre of 2008.
