Today I was listening to a small group of students read a book about whales. As one of the boys was reading, I instantly realized he had misread something from the section about how whales breathe. Instead of relating facts about a whale's blowhole, he read "They breathe through a butthole on the top of their head." Maybe we should have spent a little more time on the section about a whale's anatomy.
